Adoption

Scene 1______________________

 
Elsa: What a beautiful day at the park. The sky is so clear and blue, and the sun is shining bright.
 
Kassy: Your right mommy, it looks very pretty out here. And look the swing; I want to go play in the swing mommy.
 
Olivia: Be careful or you'll hurt yourself dear.
 
Elsa: listen to your mother darling so you don’t get hurt.
 
Kassy: You guys worry about everything mommies; I’ll be back very fast.
 
(Act like you are walking away/ exit the scene)
 
Elsa: We are so lucky to have a daughter like Kassy. She’s so smart and kind. I wouldn’t want to trade her for anything in the word. I’m so happy to be her mom.
 
Olivia: Don’t get all sentimental now. But I do agree we are so lucky to have a daughter like Kassy. She’s the bundle of joy in our hearts.
 
Elsa: aww, we better get going home.
 
Olivia: Your right, Kassy let’s get going.
 
Kassy: coming mom
 
All three leave the scene.
 
 

Scene 2______________________

 
Elsa: Kassy darling it's time for bed, tomorrow you have school bright and early.
 
Olivia: Let's tuck you into bed.
 
Kassy: (Yell) I’m already in bed . I love you mommy and mom.
 
Elsa: I love you darling, sweet dreams.
 
Olivia: I love you Kassy, now go to sleep so you can be well rested for school. Good night.
 
We all exit the scene



Scene 3______________________

 
Olivia: Kassy your home, how was your day
 
Kassy: (Loud voice) Mom why am I not like the other kids??
 
Olivia: What do you mean?
 
Kassy: Well I have two moms, unlike the other kids. They have a mom and dad. Why don’t I have a mom and dad? And why are we different animals.
 
Olivia: Oh, no Kassy don’t feel bad, let me explain. Remember when your mommy and I told you that you were adopted. It meant your mommy and I got you from a very special place. You may not have a dad and mom, but you do have two parents who love you.
 
Elsa: Darling when things like this remind you that you don’t have a mom and dad, always remember of the best moments you share with us. It’s in your hear were you will find that we love you more than anyone will.
 
Olivia: It does not matter that were both moms, what matter is all the love we give you.
 
Elsa: you’re not different you’re unique; you have two moms, whom are both different animals
 
Olivia: Don’t you think that’s pretty cool.
 
Kassy: Your right, and most importantly, I’m loved.
