Nicholas DePalo

My name is Nicholas DePalo. I am/was an Early Childhood Education major at Kingsborugh Community College. I started off my college career as an Early Childhood Education major because I enjoyed spending time around children. Children would always run up to me no matter where I went. For example, at places like church and family gatherings, the children would run right up to me once I walked in the door. I believe that I have that "Childike Pesrsonality" or that "Childlike Feeling" to me, I enjoy having fun with children because it brings a smile to my face. But sadly, I had a change of heart like most college kids have at one time or another during their college career. I changed my major from Early Childhood Education to Liberal Arts. I sorta lost the passion to become a teacher and feel that I have more of a passion to take up "Creative Writing" in my senior college. As an Early Childhood Education major, I learned alot of new things and met some interesting people. I was also able to have some field work experiences that gave me a new perspective on some things. It was a pleasure to be an Early Childhood Education major for the limited time I was. I don't know what will happen to the e-Portfolio since I changed from Early Childhood Education to Liberal Arts. But i hope it shows you the work that I did when I was an Early Childhood Education major. Thank you again for allowing me to be part of the Early Childhood Education Program. I learned alot from the program and I hope that some of the things I learned there will help me in any of my other courses. I just wanted to tell you that I switched from Early Childhood Education to Liberal Arts because I didn't want to create any confusion for anybody. Thank you.
