Finger-Play & Music
Falling Leaves
(To the Tune of: ) Mary had a little lamb
All the leaves are falling down
(flutter fingers downward, with the leaves on the fingers)
Orange, green, red, and brown.
(flutter fingers)
All the leaves are falling down
(flutter fingers downward)
If you listen, you will hear them say,
(cup hands around ears)
"Wintertime is on it's way."
(whispering, while using the snowflake prop standing then gradually falling to the ground)
The reason I choose this finger play is because the Pre K class at St Bernard’s is learning about the Fall season. So I thought it would be nice to introduce this finger play to the children. The props I’m making 4 different color leaves made out of paper and placing them on my fingers to represent the Falling Leaves and for the Wintertime I wanted to make a few white paper snow flakes (1 for each child) so when we saw Wintertime the children can stand up with the snow flakes and either drop them to the ground or make believe their the snowflake floating to the floor.
