Science activity
2. Age 4&5 year olds
3. Located in the lunch room
4. Show them a chart of a seed to a flower.
Materials: jar, soil, water, plant chart, and a small group of children. 
Objective: To have the children experience and help create a seed and how it grows.
Physical
Intellectually- learn vocabulary and the parts of the flower.
Socially- The children will communicate with each other about the plant experiment. 
Emotionally- They will build a better self-esteem and confidence while learning about the plant and create a plant as a group. 
Common core standard: Speaking and listening. 
6. Step1: Gather a small group of children to participate in the science activity. 
Step 2: Have the children walked quietly to another area where the activity going to be taking place. 
7. Step 1: Next have them sit down with their legs cross quietly. 
Step 2: Introduce the chart about seed grows into a flower. 
Step 3: start reading the chart and start to develop question about the chart. 
Step 4: once the chart is finish ask the children What makes a plant grow. 
Step 5: show the children the chart and list the different materials. 
Step 6: Gather the children to experiment on how to make a flower. 
Step 7: first have all the materials out so the children can see how flower grow. 
Step 8: List the names of the materials to children so they know what they are using. Seeds, soil, jar,and water.
Step 9: Give each child a task to do for the activity. 
Step 10: Have the children add the materials that were assigned. 
Step 11: Next ask the children question " When water enter the soil what happens"?
Step 12: finally cleanup the activity. 
Clean up will be organized everybody would wash there hands quickly and make sure the tables are clean and chairs are pushed in. Once the classroom is back in place the children will be assisted quietly back to their classroom. 
For my follow up activity as a small group create a seed in a jar.
